Is Odyssia a shared cruise or private?

No sharing here! All our cruises are 100% private — just you, your group, and the sea. We don’t mix passengers from different bookings. It’s your boat for the day.

How many people can join the cruise?

Odyssia is a spacious boat that could host up to 20 guests, but we limit our cruises to 8 people to offer a more relaxed, comfortable, and luxurious experience. That’s how we keep the atmosphere personal and special.

What’s included in the price?

Every cruise includes:
- A private captain and fuel
- Bottled water and light snacks
- Snorkeling gear
- Peace, quiet, and unforgettable memories

The sunset cruise includes wine. If you’d like something different — like sparkling wine, soft drinks, or local delicacies — we’re happy to discuss it with you in advance.

Do we need to bring food or drinks?

You don’t need to, but you’re welcome to bring anything you like. We provide light refreshments onboard. If you’d like us to organize something extra — like breakfast, a birthday cake, or a special drink — just let us know.

Where do we meet before the cruise?

We usually depart from Limenas (Thassos Town) port. After you send your booking request through our website, we’ll contact you to confirm the exact meeting point and details. We make it simple.

Can we choose the beaches we visit?

Yes! We’ll propose a schedule with the most beautiful, peaceful spots, but you're always welcome to share your preferences.
Keep in mind: the route depends on the weather. On some days, we can’t sail to the east side of the island — in those cases, we’ll explore the stunning northwest coast instead. Your safety and comfort come first.

What if the weather is bad?

If the weather isn’t safe for cruising, we’ll offer to reschedule or give you a full refund. We always keep it fair and simple.

Is there shade on the boat?

Yes — the entire deck of Odyssia is protected from the sun. Whether you want to relax in the shade or stretch out for a bit of sun, you’ll be comfortable throughout the journey.

Can we bring children on board?

Absolutely! Kids love the sea, and we love having them. Just let us know their ages so we can prepare the right life jackets and anything else they might need.

How do we book?

It’s simple:
- Visit our website and fill out the contact form
- We’ll reply personally to arrange the details, confirm availability, and guide you through the deposit process

We don’t use an automatic booking system — instead, we prefer direct communication to ensure everything is clear, personal, and smooth.

Can we celebrate something special on board?

Of course! Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, proposal, or just a special moment with someone you love, we’re happy to help you make it memorable. Just let us know in advance.

Is there a safety briefing before departure?

Yes — before we set sail, I’ll give you a short but important safety briefing.
You’ll learn:
- Where the safety equipment is stored (life jackets, fire extinguishers, first aid, etc.)
- How to use the equipment in case of an emergency
- What to do if someone falls overboard
- How to move safely around the boat

It only takes a few minutes, and it helps everyone feel more confident and calm on board.

What if someone in our group cannot swim?

If anyone in your group cannot swim, please tell us in advance. We’ll make sure that person is looked after, feels safe, and always has a life jacket available. We want everyone to enjoy the cruise without stress, no matter their swimming ability.

Can the boat be stopped during the cruise?

Yes, it’s possible that the Hellenic Coast Guard may stop us for a routine inspection.
These checks are part of maritime safety and make sure that everything onboard — including the captain and the boat — follows all legal and safety regulations.
We’ll always cooperate fully, and although we try to make the stop as short as possible, it’s not something we can control. It’s all part of keeping things professional and safe.

Is smoking allowed on board?

We kindly ask that you avoid smoking, if possible.
That said, we understand it’s a private cruise, so smoking may be allowed with the captain’s permission and only in designated areas where it doesn’t disturb others or pose a safety risk.
We’re especially careful when it’s windy or when the boat is near fuel or sails. And of course, no cigarette butts in the sea — we love our island, and we want to protect it.

Does Odyssia have sails?

Odyssia doesn’t have a full set of sails, like a typical sailing yacht, but she does have a forward sail — called a genoa.
When the wind and sea conditions are just right, we can open it so you can experience the peaceful feeling of the boat sailing with the wind only. It’s not always possible, but when it is, it’s a beautiful moment — quiet, smooth, and completely natural.

How fast does Odyssia sail?

With her engine, Odyssia travels at around 10 knots, but we always adjust the speed to match the cruise type and, most importantly, your comfort.
When conditions allow and we set the genoa sail, we can enjoy a peaceful glide at about 4–5 knots, letting the wind take us — just as the ancient mariners once did.

Can we extend the cruise if we’re having a great time?

Yes, you can!
If you're enjoying yourselves and want to stay longer — whether it’s to extend into sunset, have an extra swim, or simply take your time — just let me know during the cruise.
As long as the boat is free afterward and there’s no next booking, we can absolutely continue sailing.
We’ll agree on the extra time and price directly on board — it’s all part of keeping things relaxed and personal.
